It has been discovered through freedom of information that the city of Perth proposed a task to investigate a proposal to designate the area outside Government House as a no-protest zone (no loitering).

This would have removed the implied right for people to stand in front of the building and effectively hinder individuals from protesting. It raised the issue of impeding individuals' common law right to protest.

This effort in effect was to stop the Umbrella People from their daily protest, for which they bring attention to the PHYSICAL, ECONOMIC & PSYCHOLOGICAL harm the government has caused over the last 5 years on the people of WA. They stand to instruct the governor to do his duty.

Also discovered were high-level meetings between Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas and the Governor of WA, Chris Dawson, the details of which they refused to disclose. Public officials and the government should be transparent; acting in this way does not inspire confidence in these public officials.
