Trump says Maduro "captured"

Nicolás Maduro and his wife were captured and removed from Venezuela during a large-scale US military strike, President Trump announced on Truth Social, stating the operation involved US law enforcement.

CBS reported US officials confirmed Delta Force, the military's elite special operations unit, carried out the capture operation. Trump scheduled an 11am ET press conference at Mar-a-Lago to provide further details.

Colombia has reportedly activated a humanitarian command post along its border with Venezuela, while Cuba's President Miguel Díaz-Canel condemned the operation.
