The question “Who created the Anunnaki?” leads to a deep exploration of ancient Mesopotamian cosmology and the origins of religious belief. This video traces how the Anunnaki—figures like Anu, Enlil, and Enki—were not creators in the absolute sense but divine administrators born from earlier cosmic forces. In ancient Sumer, the eight-pointed star and the Dingir cuneiform symbol marked the divine, signifying that gods came from the sky. These symbols weren’t decorative—they represented real celestial beings.

The term “Elohim,” often translated as “God,” was originally plural. Ancient texts show that early Hebrews believed in a divine council, not a singular deity. Yahweh himself was once one of many Canaanite gods and evolved over time to become the central figure in monotheistic religion. Archaeology and scripture reveal that Yahweh absorbed traits from older deities like El and Baal and may have been linked to the goddess Asherah. This transformation from polytheism to monotheism happened through social, political, and theological engineering, not revelation.

Gnostic texts provide another perspective by introducing the Demiurge—a false creator who proclaims himself the only god. Gnostics identified this being with Yahweh, suggesting that what many worship as the ultimate god is actually a limited, flawed entity. In contrast, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Hinduism, and even Spinozan philosophy point to a higher source—formless, eternal, and beyond any singular god figure. This source, known as Brahman, the All, or Deus sive Natura, is not a being but the essence of existence itself.

Cosmogonies from Sumer, Babylon, Egypt, Greece, and India consistently show that creation was not the work of one omnipotent god, but a generational process where gods emerged from chaos and water. Enuma Elish, the Babylonian creation epic, describes how Marduk formed the world from Tiamat’s body. In Egyptian mythology, the universe emerges from the formless waters of Nun. The Greeks begin with Chaos, while Hinduism describes an eternal cycle powered by Brahman. Even Genesis borrows from these myths, shaping ancient motifs into a monotheistic narrative.

Philosophers like Spinoza later rejected the idea of a distant, judgmental god and instead saw God as identical with nature itself. His idea that everything is a reflection of divine substance aligns with older spiritual views that emphasized direct experience of the divine. The video explores how these traditions lead to a more expansive, non-dogmatic understanding of divinity—one that does not depend on fear, obedience, or exclusivity.

Religious institutions historically used theology to justify political power. Kings claimed divine mandate, and priestly elites centralized worship to control societies. Over time, this led to a rigid model of salvation and damnation that contradicted the original pluralistic, inclusive spiritual traditions. Organized religion has offered moral guidance but also caused division and suppression of spiritual freedom.

The video concludes by proposing that the true source of all creation lies beyond all known gods, scriptures, and traditions. It is formless, timeless, and present in all things. This source does not require worship, names, or monuments—it only asks for remembrance. The Anunnaki, Yahweh, and even the Demiurge are seen as intermediaries, not ultimate origins. The real journey is toward the silent source that was never lost—only forgotten.
