Liberal MP Andrew Hastie has voted for Labor's "hate speech" bill, just days after warning it was an "attack on basic democratic freedoms" and promising to oppose it. Aussies reacted by calling him a "traitor".
Liberal MP Andrew Hastie says he will vote NO on the ‘Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism’ Bill. It will have no material impact on the lower house vote, but hopefully he can convince his Liberal Senate colleagues to vote No as a Coalition.
