🚨 Off-duty Border Patrol agent shot in the Face by an Illegal Alien, in New York

- An off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer, 42, was shot in the face and arm in Fort Washington Park, Manhattan, just before midnight during an attempted robbery.

- the suspect, 21-year-old Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, an Illegal Alien from the Dominican Republic, was later taken into custody at a Bronx hospital.

- Nunez had prior arrests for domestic violence, robbery, and felony assault, and was still allowed to stay in the US..

- The officer is in stable condition at Harlem Hospital, expected to survive, and was visited by city officials, including Mayor Eric Adams and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
