The One Big Beautiful Bill passed the Senate today, with Vice President JD Vance casting the tie-breaking vote.
However, since the Senate amended the House version, the House must now approve the Senate's version or reconcile differences before the bill can be sent to the president for signing into law.
And some more good news… from what I can tell, the AI 10 Year provisions did not stay in the Senate version of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).
The House-passed version included a 10-year moratorium on state-level enforcement of laws or regulations governing artificial intelligence (AI).
However, this provision faced significant bipartisan opposition and was completely REMOVED from the Senate bill in a 99-1 vote…
That’s great news as I believed myself it was unconstitutional… but I would like to know who the hell put it in there in the first place…?
Bill provisions should be accompanied by the name of the member of Congress who submits them so we know exactly who is proposing what.
