Since 1990, Indonesia has increased the lifespan of women by 8+ years and Men by 9+ years.

This is the direct result of two major innovations they implemented:

1. They incentivized not eating processed foods. Indonesian citizens were paid to not eat processed foods. They were also penalized for eating processed foods

2. People were given control of their medical health records
— they were given tailored advice to their health needs
— this incentivizes people to make better decisions
