Religion has influenced human consciousness for millennia, but its origins may be rooted in control rather than divine guidance. According to the oldest Sumerian cuneiform tablets, long before Christianity or other monotheistic religions emerged, powerful beings called the Anunnaki arrived on Earth. These entities, described not as myths but as real beings from the sky, genetically engineered humans to serve them. Humanity was not created for spiritual enlightenment, but for labor—mining, farming, and service. This foundational relationship imprinted a deep psychological structure built on obedience, submission, and surveillance.

Temples in ancient Sumer were not centers of faith but mechanisms of psychological conditioning. This creates a cycle: you are told you are flawed, you seek forgiveness, feel temporary relief, then fail again—keeping you in constant need of redemption. This cycle is not accidental; it is a design that transforms belief into dependency.

Even after the influence of organized religion fades in some societies, the effects remain. Feelings of unworthiness, fear of desire, and emotional self-censorship continue through cultural narratives, family teachings, and subconscious beliefs. The church no longer needs to enforce control—individuals internalize the mechanisms. Spiritual obedience is confused with morality, suffering is mistaken for virtue, and silence is seen as peace.

Christianity institutionalized the transition from external domination to internal regulation. It monopolized spirituality by erasing alternative belief systems, demonizing ancient deities, suppressing feminine divinity, and centralizing authority. Religious teachings became operating codes for the human psyche. The self was divided from body, from instinct, from inner authority. Control was no longer imposed by force but through thought, guilt, and fear—woven into identity and passed down across generations.
