Treasurer Jim Chalmers has hosted a press conference on Labor’s Net Zero policy, declaring “the worst possible outcome, economically and environmentally—would be walking away from Net Zero,” as some Liberals want to do.

He also labelled opposition supporters “a collection of cookers and crackpots”, all while 50,000 people were without power in Northern NSW.
