Nasry Asfura, the Conservative National Party candidate backed by US President Donald Trump, was leading with 41% in preliminary results.

Soldiers forcibly closed polling stations and expelled their observers in key areas as early results showed their candidate Xiomara Castro’s successor trailing.

Once you go full blown socialism… it’s very hard to come back.
