Australia's controversial "hate speech" laws have passed the Senate, 38 votes to 22, after 10 Liberals voted with Labor.
Liberal-National Senator Paul Scarr insists he fully supports the hate speech bill and is eager to vote it into law, and says the Coalition makes no apologies for trading your personal freedoms in the name of keeping the public safe.
