A Russian naval vessel joined Chinese and Iranian warships in South Africa for the "Will for Peace 2026" exercise, with the drills drawing sharp criticism from Washington and domestic opposition groups.
Russia confirmed it fired an Oreshnik hypersonic missile at western Ukraine near the Polish border. Moscow said the attack was retaliation for an alleged Ukrainian projectile strike that Kyiv and the United States denied.
